Jets™ and Hareid mayor join forces to keep beach clean

The beautiful Overåsanden beach, located near the Jets™ group's home town of Hareid, is the finest beach in all of Sunnmøre according to the locals. But like many other beaches along the Norwegian coast, one important thing detracts from the experience - there are no restrooms. Now, Jets™ and the municipality of Hareid have now joined forces and shared the cost of a high-tech restroom trailer which will provide better sanitary conditions both on the beach and elsewhere in the community when needed.

Jets™ toilet wins coveted design award

At the Technoport Awards 2011 in Trondheim, Norway, the Jets™ group's new Pearl toilet was awarded the prize for best design: Design Award 2011. The Trondheim based design company Kadabra Produktdesign AS received the award for the work they have done for Jets™ in developing the unique toilet design.

Jets™ supports student enterprise Atech SB

The student enterprise Atech SB, established by students of Ålesund University College, has developed a decontamination system to remove oil from bilge water on board ships. The system employs an existing filter design in a new way and in a new area of use, making the installation of Atech's solution on all types of ships with bilge water oil separators a simple process.

Jets™ on ship of the year

The subsea service vessel SKANDI AKER, owned by the Norwegian company DOFCON ASA and built at STX Norway Offshore AS – Søviknes, was declared Ship of the Year 2010 by the Norwegian State Secretary Rikke Lind at the SMM 2010 trade show in Hamburg. Jets™ has supplied the Vacuum sanitary system to this highly sophisticated ship including the sewage treatment plant.

Large Fjord Line contract

Jets™ has been awarded the contract for delivery of vacuum toilet systems for two modern, well-equipped cruise ferries to shipping company Fjord Line. The two ferries, each with accommodation for 1,500 passengers and vehicle decks for 600 cars, will be delivered from the Bergen Group Fosen shipyard to Fjord Line in 2012.

Partner and supplier to Expo 2010

At the world Expo 2010 in Shanghai, 192 nations and 50 organizations participate, making it the largest of its kind in modern history. Visitor numbers are estimated at 70 to 100 million people. Jets has been selected by Norway at Expo 2010 and Innovation Norway as a partner and supplier to the Norwegian pavilion, and has supplied the sanitary system used there.
