Catamaran ferries by Fjellstrand, Norway

In 2003, Fjellstrand in Norway introduced a new design - the FerryCat 120: a double-ended catamaran ferry for 120 cars and 400 passengers.

4 rotatable thrusters, 1 at each end of each hull, and a 180-degree rotatable wheelhouse ensure manoeuvrability, safety and redundancy.

In many cases, one FerryCat can replace two traditional ferries, with its speed of 22 knots (41 km/h).
