Hurtigruten ship "MS Trollfjord" leaving Ålesund, Norway

"Hurtigruten" - the world's most beautiful voyage

The Hurtigruten ships have provided a lifeline to communities along the jagged coast and islands of Norway for more than a century. Today the ships make 34 port calls from Bergen to Kirkenes in Norway during a spectacular 11-day voyage.

Past the famous fjords

On a round-trip from Bergen to Kirkenes and back the ships make 66 port calls along the coast, sailing past the famous Norwegian fjords which won the top rating on Traveler Magazine's Destination Scorecard.

A product of the Norwegian spirit

The ships call at Ålesund, near Jets™ headquarters at Hareid, and most of them were designed and built in western Norway. Jets™ gains valuable feedback from its close partnership with the ship designers, yards, shipowners and - not least - the operating crews.

Jets™ on board

All vessels have Jets™ systems on board, except for the very oldest Hurtigruten ships built before Jets™ was established.

Leaving Ålesund

The Hurtigruten ships stop in Ålesund, a beatiful coastal city stretching across islands and straits. Its Jugend-style buildings, often bordering on the sea, have caught the eye of photographers and other visitors for decades.
